UNDP Greening Moonshot

UNDP is committed to being green, sustainable, and just. While UNDP has been climate neutral in its global operations since 2015, offsetting our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions is not enough. Recognizing that we cannot advise over 140 countries on raising the ambition of their Nationally Determined Contributions without raising our own ambition, the Administrator launched the ‘Greening Moonshot’ in 2019, committing UNDP to reduce GHG emissions from UNDP operations 25% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.
